Chart notes
OKIE LOVE was allowed to settle from the start, advanced through the turn to pass all but STORMY'S REVENGE by the quarter pole, continued to the run through the lane, gained the advantage by mid-stretch despite racing on the left lead, and held clear of a mild late bid. GYPSY ROSE outpaced in the early stages, tracked four wide down the backstretch, launched a bid from the five-sixteenths marker, had a little trouble with the lead change at the top of the stretch, got straightened out, then was gaining ground on the winner but ran out of time. STORMY'S REVENGE dueled with RAINBOW ANGEL through the early stages, went clear of the rest on the turn, took a clear lead into the stretch, then was shortening strides by mid-stretch and was outfinished. SMART OKIE was the distant trailer to the turn and passed tiring rivals in the lane. BECAUSE tracked behind the dueling leaders, went three-wide through the turn, and lacked a finish. RAINBOW ANGEL dueled inside of STORMY'S REVENGE down the backstretch, then gave way passing the seven-sixteenths marker, was overtaken late on the turn, and had nothing to offer late.
