Chart notes

CASHMEUP was coaxed a bit from the break to get foward position, tracked HIGHTAIL COWBOY on the lead from behind despite the slow pace, then took over the lead leaving the half-mile pole with PROVEN HOPE pressing the issue to the outside, put a head in front and held on to the lead through the stretch run under strong handling. T BONES TRICK raced three-wide, came under a ride from the three-furlong pole, made a slow, steady gain down the stretch, and just missed. GO CATS brushed with I AM GOOD at the break, raced in the middle of the pack through the early stages, made a good late try up the rail, but came up a head short. PROVEN HOPE went four wide through the first turn, tracked three-wide down the backstretch, then quickened away with CASHMEUP from the half, dueled into the stretch, and hung late racing on the left lead. I AM GRODD broke out and made some contact with GO CATS, saved ground, raced close up to the far turn, then struggled to keep up as the pace quickened in the late stages. HIGHTAIL COWBOY hustled away from the outside to take the early lead, slowed the pace down under a hold, then gave way readily passing the half-mile pole, and was uninvolved in the late stages.
