Chart notes
EYELIGHT saved ground setting the pace in hand and maintained a safe advantage. WILLING TO BURN saved ground chasing the pace, angled out to come three-wide into the stretch and closed strongly. IT'S SAUL RIGHT prompted EYELIGHT while racing two-wide, was unable to stay with that one during the drive but held on well for third. THIRSTY NIC saved ground while being allowed to settle, angled out nearing the eighth pole to be four-wide and went evenly late. GOLD COAST GIRL raced in the back of the field, rallied five-wide into the stretch and failed to seriously threaten. AFTER MY OWN HEART was unhurried early, rallied three-wide into the stretch and failed to menace. LUCY L settled in the middle of the field racing two-wide and weakened. HAUGHTY KITTY was four-wide on the turn turn then allowed to settle, came six-wide into the stretch and was not a factor.
