Chart notes
LIGHT THE BEAM was reserved off the pace racing two-wide, rallied three-wide into the stretch then took the lead nearing the eighth pole and gradually edged clear. SHAUN'S JAZZ tracked FAST CHAZ racing along the inside, steadied nearing the quarter pole lacking room, slipped through nearing the three-sixteenths pole and finished strongly when clear. FAST CHAZ saved ground setting the pace, drifted out nearing the three-sixteenths pole and held on fairly well for third when headed. K R RULES saved ground while being allowed to settle and went evenly late. CLUB MESQUITE was unhurried, rallied four-wide into the stretch, offered a mild bid nearing the eighth pole and then flattened out/. STEPHEN JAMES raced in the back of the field early, came six-wide into the stretch and failed to seriously threaten/. ENOS SLAUGHTER raced in the middle of the field while three-wide, came five-wide into the stretch and tired.
