Chart notes
SHOWDOWN KING tracked the leaders down the backside, rallied splitting rivals at the three-eighths pole in tight quarters, engaged the leader from three wide turning for home, took the lead midway down the lane, angled to the inside when clearing the pacesetter and prevailed in a drive. RONIC stalked the pace down the backside, lost position on the turn, rallied up the fence at the top of the lane, steadied when the tiring pacesetter closed the hole along the rail, took up sharply to angle out to the clear and finished well to be gaining late. GROWTH CAPITAL set a well rated pace under mild pressure to the quarter pole, dug-in turning for home when challenged racing in the two path, drifted in to the raail in upper stretch closing the hole of the runner-up causing that one to take up, continued on willingly inside the eighth pole steadying as the winner drifted in late in the drive while passing by in the clear. LIGHTNING CHARLIE reserved off the pace to be the trailer turning for home and rallied well with a belated bid in the lane. THENAME OF THEGAME raced mid-pack in contention and lacked a clsoing kick. EXTRA MEDIUM was not a threat. LOOKIN TO EXCEL prompted the pace into the turn, rallied three wide to loom at the quarter pole and faded in the lane unable to sustain the bid. THE RIDER OF GROWTH CAPITAL CLAIMED FOUL FOR INTERFERENCE MIDWAY DOWN THE LANE BY THE WINNER, UPON REVIEW THE STEWARDS MADE NO CHANGE.
