Chart notes
FLATTEN THE CURVE (FR) settled outside well back, began to advance willingly late on the third turn, took command outside at the quarter pole and promptly kicked away, was eased up nearing the wire. TAWNY PORT was in just a bit tight at the start, unhurriedly settled at the rear inside, saved ground on all turns, advanced in upper stretch, angled five wide near the eighth pole, kept on to gain the place over LIMITED LIABILITY, who settled mid-division outside, was niggled along seven furlongs out to keep pace, took closer order tracking inside on the third turn, kept on evenly in the stretch and was outfinished for second. GOLDENEYE sped clear, set the pace, was off the rail coming into upper stretch and overtaken by the quarter pole, weakened. SAN SIRO tracked from inside, switched out on the second turn, moved forward to press from the half-mile marker, bid at the five-sixteenths between foes, weakened in the stretch. BALLADEER was well-placed stalking from outside but wandered about racing quite wide through the first turn, continued in behind, began weakening with a mile ago, steadily retreated. This race had a timing discrepancy or malfunction and was re-timed using video technology to arrive at the most accurate final time.
