Chart notes
RIDING BY was reserved off the pace racing two-wide, checked and bobbled leaving the three-quarter pole in traffic then raced three-wide, moved up to take the lead entering the stretch, responded when challenged by ARNIE BOY nearing the eighth pole and gradually drew clear late. ARNIE BOY steadied near the three-quarter pole from along the inside of BEAR ENCOUNTER then lacked room from that point to the half mile pole while saving ground, moved forward along the inside on the turn, rallied four-wide into the stretch, offered a bid nearing the eighth pole but was unable to stay with RIDING BY late. LET ME HELP YOU was prominently placed while racing two-wide and finished well in a steady effort. BEAR ENCOUNTER set the pace racing slightly removed from the rail, came in slightly nearing the three-quarter pole then disputed the issue to the stretch and weakened. GET DOWN settled in the middle of the field, checked leaving the three-quarter pole in traffic then was allowed to settle and failed to seriously threaten. COLONEL HORTON was forwardly placed early racing three-wide and tired.
