Chart notes
MERINGUE settled into stride, rated in behind runners from off the fence, was mostly in the three to five path through the turn, swung out six to seven wide for the stretch run, got up in the shadow of the wire. RED BERETTA settled off the pace, advanced outside four to six wide, bid between foes in mid-stretch, just missed. TO A FLAME raced off the pace inside, moved out past the half, was four wide soon after in behind foes, altered in two deep in mid-stretch, bid between runners late, was game and just missed. ROSE ROOM unhurriedly brought up the rear, swung out turning for home then moved out further to be eight wide past the eighth pole, was gaining too late. SOLOIST moved from outside to the lead about the five- and one-half, edged clear soon after dictating terms from off the fence, came out further about the eighth pole, fought on but was outkicked. OSCAR'S ENCORE had the early lead, dropped off the leader and tracked inside, was encouraged along by the seven-sixteenths, saved ground on the turn, had room but was in a bit tight along the rail in mid-stretch, lacked the needed late kick. LOVELIEST settled off the pace inside, came off the rail a path turning into upper stretch, was in tight and steadied about the eighth pole, ran on. I'VE GOT THE HONEY advanced outside four wide on the turn, got to within striking distance coming to the top of the stretch, was bumped lightly and steadied near the eighth pole, weakened after. BACK RING BUZZ was forwardly-placed into the turn, stalked three wide on that bend, bumped lightly with a foe and steadied near the furlong marker, faded. CHAMBOURCIN stalked from between runners two to three wide early on the turn, steadily retreated. This race had a timing discrepancy or malfunction and was re-timed using video technology to arrive at the most accurate time.
