Chart notes
CHASING THE CROWN settled in midpack in the two path, angled out to the five path turning into the long stretch, moved up to bid passing the quarter, took command going into the final furlong, and held safe. LAMBETH laid in the back of the pack in the three path, angled out to five path at the top of the stretch, was roused passing the quarter, chased the winner into the final furlong, ran on to make it close late, but was out of time. MOUNTAIN BEAR (IRE) pressed in the three path, vied for the lead passing the three-eighths pole, took command in the two path passing the quarter, but was overtaken by the winner before the final furlong, then flattened but held show. ASTRONOMER tracked in the two path, was roused between foes passing the quarter, but faded. NOISES OFF rated along the rail, moved into contention while being roused approaching the quarter, but weakened. GIGANTE raced off the pace in the three path, floated out to the six path going into the final furlong, and made no final bid. EMMANUEL prompted the pace in the four path but yielded around the three-sixteenths pole. SHERLOCK'S JEWEL got pinched back early, was wellback in the two path, angled out to the six path around the three-sixteenths, but made no impact. LORENZ (BRZ) tracked in the three path but weakened from the two path down the stretch. PRINCE OF POWER set the pace in the two path but yielded in the three path down the stretch. GENIUS JIMMY chased in the four path but weakened down the lane. GASLIGHT DANCER trailed throughout.
