Chart notes
CALVIN'S RIDE prompted the early pace into the first turn after breaking alertly, settled off the pace down the backside, dropped to the rear of the field under patient handling in a compact field around the far turn, circled five wide turning for home and took command midway down the lane to be clear late. MAXIMUM FAITH was well rated on the lead for three-quarters, responded when called upon for the drive to battle in mid-stretch, could not hold off the winner and finished well to keep the place in a good effort. RUNNINGFORJOY reserved in hand racing along the fence on the first turn, was in tight briefly on the backside, continued to be close up on the inside to the far turn, waited behind the pacesetter losing momemtum on the far turn, continued to be bottled up until mid-stretch, angled out to the clear leaving the eighth pole and rallied belatedly. ARTEMPUS prompted the pace to the final turn, rallied to threaten nearing the quarter pole, failed to get passed the pacesetter and weakened late in the lane. IRISH STONE trailed on the first turn, made an early bid five wide down the backstretch to be prominent to the top of the lane and flattened out in upper stretch.
