Chart notes
CHUCKANUT BAY settled in the middle of the pack through the early stages, launched a three-wide bid leaving the three-furlong pole, loomed in upper stretch, then kept on well under steady handling and pulled clear in the final yards. BART SIP SOME pressed the early pace three-wide, put a head in front mid-way on the turn, then was confronted by a host of challengers near the quarter pole, battled gamely in upper stretch, turning back all the challengers, then had nothing left ot fend off the winner in the late stages. BRANDYN raced near the rear through the early stages, then rallied five-wide to get up for the third spot. BETTOR TRIP NICK chased mid-pack four-wide, made a five-wide bid into the stretch, produced a grinding finish that went flat in the final furlong. BEST CHOICE BABY was held up near the back down the backstretch, started to run on after passing the three-furlong pole, finished with some interest but could not sustain the bid and finished evenly. WEDDING GROOM vied three-wide, loomed in upper stretch then steadied before the furlong pole, lost momentum and was unable to recover. SWEET RIVER BAINES was allowed to settle near the back after the start, was put to a drive late on the turn and was making some mild gains then steadied in traffic near the furlong marker and lost any chance. TEQUILA TIME took a light bump after the break, then hustled up inside but was not quick enough to join the pace battle, went flat in upper stretch, and was unable to threaten late. BYE BYE MATTY P broke in at the start and bumped with CEREBRO, contested the early pace two-deep, lost the inside path late on the turn, then tried to re-bid but weakened in the stretch. CEREBRO got bumped at the start, then hustled up to vie for the early lead on the inside, backed off heading into the turn, took up in mid-stretch while also weakening and was not persevered with in the final yards.
