Chart notes
PEARL BLUE stalked DELAYED NOT DENIED while saved ground, rallied three-wide into the stretch then drifted in leaving the eighth pole after taking the lead and gradually drew clear. DELAYED NOT DENIED saved ground setting the pace, angled out inside the eighth pole when the winner came in and held on well for second. FREE TO BE was allowed to settle racing two-wide, came four-wide into the stretch and finished in a mild rally. IDA LORRAINE saved ground racing in the middle of the field and went evenly. LIMO TO VEGAS was allowed to settle, came five-wide into the stretch but lacked a rally. MELIDOUS SONNET was off a step slow then saved ground while being unhurried and failed to seriously threaten. HIGHFIELD LASS hesitated at the start to get away behind the field, came two-wide into the stretch and was not a factor.
