Chart notes
FIRST FORAY set the pace while well in hand under constant pressure, repelled the runner-up turning for home to edge away in mid-stretch and just held that one off late to prevail at the line. SUGAR TREAT prompted the pace to the turn, rallied to threaten on the bend, was repelled turning for home by the winner and persistently came again to just miss in a game effort. RED WREN tracked the leader through the turn and rallied mildly down the lane to gain the show. ONE SPECIAL ACT trailed in the early going and rallied midway on the turn showing some late interest passing weaker rivals in the lane. GOTHAM GRAY stalked the pace from four wide to the quarter pole and weakened turning for home fading from contention down the lane. TOOTSIE TOES raced at the rear of the filed down the backside, was set to drive on the turn and lacked a response.
