Chart notes
JOHN DUTTON sped to the lead within the first several strides, angled in while clear, set the pace under constant pressure, repelled the two pace pressers turning for home and finished in a determined drive keeping the closer at bay. SPIRITED SOL raced along the inside away from the gate when inside rival veered in to gap, remained well placed tracking the leaders through the turn, cut the corner turning for home, tipped out three wide rallying in the lane and closed willingly while unable to narrow the margin on the winner. DREAMING OF KONA stalked the pace from four wide to be in the dueling pacesetters, loomed turning for home and kept-on willingly through the lane unable to gain on the winner. IMPACTO ducked into the gap leaving the gate, steadied coming on to the main track when the rail had been taken, recovered to be rated off the pace near the rear of the compact field, rallied splitting rivals on the turn from three wide, was caught behind a wall of horses in upper stretch, angled to the rail for clear racing and put in a belated bid. HILARIOUS AFFAIR trailed the field to the turn, was forced to rally wide on the bend and finished with interest in the stretch. YOU BET A FORTUNE hustled up between rivals shortly away from the gate having lost position to the leader at the break, pressed from between rivals to the quarter pole and gave way turning for home. THE RIDER OF IMPACTO CLAIMED FOUL AGAINST THE RUNNER-UP FOR INTERFERENCE LEAVING THE GATE, UPON REVIEW THE STEWARDS MADE NO CHANGE.
