Chart notes
BAROSSA tracked comfortably in the second position from the outset, ranged up approaching the quarter pole to challenge ATTILA THE DUN for the lead, met some resistance but put away that rival in upper stretch, then drew away late while being geared down in the late stages. WINNING BIG settled mid-pack three-wide, started a forward bid going into the far turn, was in a stiff drive before the quarter pole, and kept on to win the battle for the place. KIRBY DERBY raced mid-pack through the first half-mile, made up some ground late under a drive to gain the third spot. ATTILA THE DUN made the lead before the first turn, led the way through moderate fractions to the far turn, dug in when challenged by BAROSSA on the far turn, battled to mid-stretch, and tired. HONKY TONK HERO settled well off the pace, lacked a finish, but was kept to task and passed a few tired foes. LET THERE BE PEACE chased three-to-four wide, made a mild bid on the far turn, loomed a threat near the quarter pole, but came under the crop at the quarter pole and did not go on . NORTHERN QUEST settled near the rear of the main pack, came under a stiff drive on the far turn but did not produce a rally. DADDY WHAT IF was void of speed from the start and dropped far behind in the early going, tried to make a five-wide late bid but was unable to improve. LUCK IN MY EYES raced close up inside to the far turn, dropped back, then had little to offer in the stretch. This race had a timing discrepancy or malfunction and was re-timed using video technology to arrive at the most accurate time.
