Chart notes
LUCKY VEGAS tracked close up four-wide traveling well, ranged up four wide approaching the quarter pole, responded to strong handling and urging, gained the advantage inside the sixteenth pole, and drew off late. LA VIKINA broke on top but ceded the front to OGALLALA while maintaining a close stalking position, bid for the lead at the five-sixteenths pole, battled between horses down the stretch, could not go with the winner in the final yards but outfinished the rest for second. EMILY SMILES settled off the early pace, then moved up even with the leaders going into the turn, was two-deep as four horses fanned out across the track turning for home, weakened a bit late but managed to hold for the minor award. OGALLALA made the front without really being asked, led the way under moderate fractions with several in close pursuit, turned for home with something left and three challengers to the outside, but was outfinished in the final furlong. ANNA B settled on the rail at the rear of the compact main pack, then lacked the needed response in the late stages. LETS DECLARE PEACE raced close up three-wide to the turn, then came under a ride when unable to keep pace, went five-wide into the stretch, and failed to make an impact in the late stages. JULIA'S PROMISE threw the head up after the break and started several lengths behind the rest, was under a full out drive on the turn but could not regain contact with the field. This race had a timing discrepancy or malfunction and was re-timed using video technology to arrive at the most accurate time.
