Chart notes
ULTIMATE STRIKE laid at the rear in the two to three path, shifted out to the five path to take aim on the leaders entering the lane, bid in upper stretch and drove clear. JOHNSON broke outwardly, stalked the leading trio from the three path, ranged up outside of them to bid four deep around the far turn, vied into the lane, but got outkicked by an outer challenger in upper stretch and was second best. ROMANTIC LEAD broke a step slow and was shut off when an inner rival veered across his path at the start, tracked along the inside, awaited racing room close up behind the leaders around the far turn, chased into upper stretch and stayed on to reach show between rivals late. TIS CHARMING vied two wide and between horses, gave way entering the lane, yet kept on mildly to re-bid for show in the final sixteenth but missed. SHORTSTOP led narrowly inside of pair of rivals into the backstretch, then inside of a trio of foes turning for home, dug in to cling to an advantage entering the lane, but got headed in upper stretch and tired through the final furlong. DANCING NOAH vied four to three wide around the first turn, then between horses around the far turn and weakened entering the lane.
