Chart notes
BE KOZY was reserved off the early pace, moved up four-wide nearing the quarter pole, gained a slight lead at the eighth pole and edged clear late. BRIEF ENCOUNTER tracked the pace racing along the inside, slipped through inside of PEEKABOOWILLIE nearing the three-eighths pole then disputed the issue into the stretch and held on well for second in a game try. MIDNIGHT GODDESS was unhurried early, rallied five-wide into the stretch and closed storngly. PEEKABOOWILLIE vied for the early lead with IT'S E Z while racing slightly removed from the inside rail, continued to dispute the issue to the eighth pole and weaekened. IT'S E Z vied for the lead from along the outside for three furlongs and tired.
