Chart notes
RED KINGDOM prompted the early pace, advanced to challenge BRASA entering the turn, took on the challenge from INTO THE DEEP at the quarter pole, dueled inside of rival through the lane, held a slight edge, fought gamely and just lasted. INTO THE DEEP tracked the pace in the opening quarter, advanced three wide near the quarter pole, dueled outside of RED KINGDOM into the lane with rival holding a slight edge, fought gamely along the outside, inched up closer approaching the wire and got nipped for the win. WAGON POWER sat off the top trio near the inside, angled out mid-way around the turn, given cue four wide in the upper stretch, responded and closed the gap on the top pair. FALLEN STAR raced off the early pace, swung four to five wide into the upper stretch and needed more for late impact. BRASA set a pressured pace up the backstretch, dueled around the turn then tired in the drive. PITCHING WEDGE raced along the outside and failed to move into contention.
