Chart notes
LA PANDA unhurried early to race near the rear of the field for a half, steadily gained position while saving ground along the rail through the far turn, cut the corner turning for home and rallied well along the fence to prevail in deep stretch. VANILLA BEAN reserved off the pace to the final turn, circled six wide on the bend to overtake the leaders in mid-stretch and was outfinished in the final sixteenth as second best. HIGHLAND HOLIDAY stalked the runaway pacesetter to the far turn, rallied midway on the bend to narrow the gap, loomed in upper stretch and was outkicked in the drive. RED ELEANOR raced mid-pack in a clear poscket down the backside, tipped out into the final bend to rally five wide and flattened out turning for home unable to sustain the bid. STARSHIP MACYS took command shortly away from the gate to open a clear lead on the first turn, widened the advantage down the backside, maintained the lead to upper stretch and tired. SARATOGA GAZE tracked the leader from four wide for five-eighths and gave way on the far turn. TRAUMARAMA was not a factor.
