Chart notes
SPIRIT OF AKRON was antsy in the gate, pressed the pace two wide into the turn, gained a narrow lead nearing the quarter pole, set the balance of the pace and lasted under right handed urging. MUCHO PRIMO stalked the pace three wide through the turn, drifted out to the seven path under left handed urging in the stretch, dug in late and got up for second. GONE IN A FLASH was brushed at the start, set a pressured pace along the inside for nearly a half mile, kept on but was outfinished in the final strides. DARK VADER never far back, finished with good courage three wide. OHIO STRONG hit the gate while breaking inward, brushed with GONE IN A FLASH then trailed throughout.
