SEAS OF NORMANDY away well, and was content to stalk the runaway leaders through the stretch the first time while racing one out from the rail, held his position in the run down the backside while beginning to gain on the pacesetter in the run to the final turn, quickly assumed command midway through the turn, and was never seriously threatened late. SNAP TO IT broke sharply and was allowed to settle off the early pace while racing three wide through the stretch the first time, bided his time off the leaders in the run down the backside, rallied two out from the rail entering the final turn and closed willingly from along the inside in the drive to get up for the place. TOUCH THE SUN settled off the early pace while racing one out from the rail through the stretch the first time, began to advance midway down the backside and continued four wide into the final turn, and finished willingly three out from the rail in the drive to garner a share. PURSUE unhurried early while dropping back to trail, mounted a three wide bid from the back of the pack entering the final turn, and closed two wide in the drive while continuing to improve his position. NEWHART settled off the early pacesetter while saving ground at the rail through the stretch the first time, bided his time in the run down the backside, rallied along the inside entering the final turn, but lacked the needed closing response when called upon. NAUVOO away alertly and sprinted to a clear lead entering the stretch the first time while saving ground at the rail, increased his advantage through the second turn, and maintained a long lead in the run down the backstretch, was quickly inhaled soon after entering the final turn, and stopped badly over the final furlong. BLUEGRASS LENT settled off the early pace while saving ground at the rail entering the stretch the first time, maintained a striking position in the run down the backside, but weakened over the final furlong.
