Chart notes
HITE had a narrow lead along the inside into the clubhouse turn, dropped back on the backstretch, came on again through the stretch in the middle of the racetrack under left handed urging and got up in the strides. INDIAN FEVER pressed the pace four then two wide for five furlongs, made the lead, shook clear in upper stretch, drifted out to the six path then couldn't handle the winner. CLEVELAND POWER unhurried early, found his best stride late widest. RED HEAD KID pressed the pace two wide then along the inside and lacked the needed response in the drive. DR. ZARNETT set a pressured pace three then two wide for five furlongs, kept on into the stretch then weakened before the furlong marker. A PRAYER FOR KIDS was never close.
