Chart notes
GIFT EXCHANGE was well placed along the fence just off the pace while pulling early, settled into the turn, tipped out to the clear turning for home and closed well in the lane overtaking the pacesetter in mid-stretch and kicked away. VERNOR'S JUNCTION stalked the pace from four wide into the turn, rallied on the outside angling further wide in upper stretch and mounted a grinding bid for the place. WARRIOR'S NOTION set a pressured pace to upper stretch and tired in the final eighth drifting well out down the lane. BAYTOWN BULLEIT reserve off the pace to be near the back of the pack, cut the corner turning for home and showed good late interest. LOOKIN LIKE LUCKY pressed the pace to midway on the turn and faded. HUNDRED PROOF was not a factor.
