Chart notes
THALBERG stalked the pace from the proverbial catbird seat in a clear pocket through the turn, angled four wide turning for home to engage the leaders in mid-stretch and drew off in the final sixteenth. MOR SPRING SPIRIT set a pressured pace throughout, dug-in down the lane gamely when challenged and could not last in the final sixteenth. ENJOY THE MUSIC reserved off the pace to the toop of the lane, swung to the outside in the lane and rallied with good interest to be along for the show. REAL NAUGHTY pressed the pace to the top of the lane, rallied to loom in upper stretch and weakened in the final furlong. THE SINNER IS YOU unhurried in the early going, made a mild bid to prominence in upper stretch and finished evenly unable to sustain the rally. SHOWDOWN KING showed little as a non-factor.
