Chart notes
GOING UP pressed the pace from the inside down the backside, dueled on the turn, kicked away to take command in upper stretch and pulled away convincingly. SPIRITED SOL broke a step slow to be the trailer, moved up the inside to be well place, waited patiently through the turn for racing room, cut the corner turning for home, tipped out three wide to finish willingly as second best in a good effort. JOHN DUTTON stalked the pace from three wide in striking distance through the turn and ran-on in the lane lacking a closing rally. THAT'S RIGHT set the pace from three wide under constant pressure, dueled through the turn, could not match the winner turning for home and weakened down the lane. DUNEDIN tracked the leaders from five wide in the compact field, mounted a brief bid on the turn and flattened out in the lane.
