Chart notes
ASBURY PARK (GB) was reserved towards the rear while racing from the inside to the two path, shifted to the three path while roused at the quarter-pole, moved out and brushed with a foe in upper stretch then rallied on the outside, closed strongly to get the lead outside the sixteenth-pole then went clear under good handling. NOBLE CONFESSOR established a forward position early, went around the first turn in the three path, tracked outside in the two path, was asked on the final turn, turned into the stretch under the crop, chased into the final furlong then made a bid but was outfinished while able to get the place. HILL ROAD was hustled from the gate, settled in the the three then two path, was given cover down the stretch for the first time, continued towards the rear on the backstretch, was roused with three furlongs to run, traveled around the final turn in the four path, spun into the stretch in the five path, came in some and was off heels inside the three-sixteenths pole, moved out around the furlong marker and improved to get up for the show. CRUDO went to the front, showed the way on the inside, was asked near the five-sixteenths pole, came under the crop in upper stretch, led into the final furlong then was overtaken by the winner and weakened. HAMMERHEAD broke in then dropped back, angled in at the rear, saved ground while reserved at the back, was roused on the final turn, shifted to the three path late on that bend, dropped inward in upper stretch and lacked the needed kick. GAME WARRIOR went around the opening bend in the four path, settled on the outside but was given cover, raced in the two path on the second turn, continued mid-pack down the backstretch, was given his cue in the three path on the far turn, turned into the stretch in the four path, brushed with the winner near the three-sixteenths pole and also lacked the needed kick. A BOURBON FOR TOBY was hustled from the gate then taken in hand early, saved ground while rated just off the pace, was asked at the top of the stretch then tipped off the rail and came up empty.
