Chart notes
NANCY MADE MY DAY had to be coaxed along after breaking a step slow, advanced to the leaders by the start of the turn, then ranged up four-wide near the quarter pole to take command in upper stretch and was widening a bit under steady handling to the wire. LEONIDS a bit slow to get into stride, rushed up the rail to join the leaders but steadied slightly near the five-furlong pole when no path was available, settled in a tracking position, then bid three-wide from the quarter pole, finished well under strong handling and urging but could not match the winner late. KAZ CREED jumped out to the early lead along with MAKIZAN on the inside, put that one away at the five-sixteenths marker, but then had NANCY MADE MY DAY ready to pounce on the outside approaching the quarter pole, briefly held that one at bay in upper stretch, but was no match late, kept on well to hold the third spot. REMARKABLE MO was never far back, raced three-to-four wide, finished with some interest, but was not good enough to threaten. BELTS 'N BROOKS outpaced early, saved ground through the turn, and improved. MAKIZAN broke well, dueled inside of KAZ CREED through the turn, then gave way before the quarter pole. MISCHIEF WARRIOR raced at the back of the main pack, was always three to five wide and lacked a meaningful rally. NORFIE was unable to keep pace early, dropped far behind before the turn, then managed to pass a few tired foes in the stretch. GREY STREAK tracked two-deep with the second flight, came under a ride on the turn, and had little to offer in the stretch. SHANGHAI SUPERFLY raced mid-pack, saved ground, started a steady retreat on the turn, and was eased to the finish and walked off.
