Chart notes
CHARLEY PRIDE pressed the pace through the initial stages three-wide, moved up to challenge for the lead on the turn, then took command in upper stretch and drew off to a handy win. MY LAST ESCAPADE dueled two-wide through the early stages, could not go on with the winner in the stretch, but kept on well to secure the second spot. LUCKY SEVEN tracked in the middle of the pack two-deep, then finished evenly to gain third. TONKA TROUBLE dueled inside a rival to the stretch, then weakened. SMITHY broke in at the start, bothering BEAR RILLA, moved up to chase the leaders mid-pack through the turn, but lacked a finish. BEAR RILLA broke a step slow, then took up after the start when SMITHY came over and took the path, altered course to the rail but spotted the rest a head start in the process, made a brief bid late on the turn but could not sustain and was unable to threaten.
