Chart notes
DREAMS IN THE SKY was four wide into the opening turn, stalked three to four wide, gained the lead and held safely. HE CAN DANGLE broke outward brushing SCHMUGLEY, stalked the pace while three wide, raced in close quarters in the backstretch, was roused in the final turn, and was outkicked. DALE'S LEGACY contended the early pace inside of ARTIC CAUSEWAY, disposed of rival but was soon joined by DREAMS IN THE SKY and lacked the rally that was needed. SCHMUGLEY brushed at the break, hustled from the chute, raced five wide into the first turn, chased steadily down the backstretch, and offered a mild bid. ARE GEE brushed leaving the gate, squeezed back in traffic entering the first turn, lost position, and gave way. DAUNTLESS DARYL brushed at the start, was bumped leaving the chute by BENZENE, and was unable to recover from the start. ZIPLINER steadied leaving the chute, and was never involved. ARTIC CAUSEWAY contested the pace outside of DALE'S LEGACY, was unable to sustain the bid that was needed and was bumped in the last turn. BENZENE drifted out leaving the chute then bumped into DAUNTLESS DARYL, and was outrun.
