Chart notes
TAILORED FOR JOY was away well, raced close up under a hard hold tracking behind the pacesetter through the first half, was let loose late on the backstretch but was without a clear path through the far turn, came off the rail in mid-stretch, surged through an opening after a couple of taps with the crop, and got a head in front in the last jumps. ESKENFORAVE AND AK was close up in the tracking group, had a rival get the first jump to challenge the leader late on the turn but finished well under steady handling and intermittent urging, just missing in a blanket finish. REPPAZZ jumped out to the early lead from the break with the rider doing his best to temper the pace, dug in under a threat from HUMORESQUE late on the far turn, kept a head in front through the stretch, but could not hold off the top pair in the last jumps. HUMORESQUE stalked the early pace three-wide, bid for the lead approaching the quarter pole, found a resurgent rival but kept on gamely under steady handling, but came up a bit short at the line. CHLOE'S BANKER steadied early, was last into the first turn, then passed tired foes in the stretch. FLAMING SPIRIT was held up near the back after the start, chased from well off the pace down the backstretch, then flattened out in the stretch. THEGANGSALLHERE settled in mid-pack, saved ground, but was outkicked in the stretch. QUITE SO was rank going into the first turn, dropped to last going down the backstretch, then was uninvolved in the late stages.
