Chart notes
SCHEDULING DUDE broke well, tracked a rival two-deep through the early stages, ranged up confidently near the five-sixteenths marker to take the lead, then responded when set down at the top of the stretch and held clear of a couple of challengers to the outside in the final furlong. ROLLY broke well and was forwardly placed just behind the leaders, swung out four-wide from the quarter pole in a bid for the lead, finished well, but could not get to the winner. LOOK SHARP rushed up after breaking a step slow, was always close up through the early stages, then went four wide from the quarter pole in a bid for the lead, finished willingly, but came up short with some distance back to the next finisher. PERFORMANCE PLUS was three wide with the second flight, made a mild bid under a stiff drive, outfinished the rest of the field, but came up well short of a minor award. HELLO SUNSHINE got bumped on both sides after the start, raced three-wide in the middle of the pack, finished evenly. SIR BANANA BRIAN had good speed from the break and made the front, had a length advantage going into the turn, then got pressure from SCHEDULING DUDE, tried to fight back when that rival bid for the lead late on the turn, yielded the lead, and had little left to give in the stretch. FEDERAL EXCHANGE broke well and was briefly forwardly placed, dropped back on the backstretch run, then was unable to rally in the stretch. STORMY HOLLOW chased in mid-pack and lacked a rally. MY BOY ROCKY steadied slightly after the start, but was outrun early and never involved. COLOR FIELD broke with the pack but struggled to keep up late. K'S PICK was slow into stride, chased three-wide down the backstretch, and faltered in the stretch.
