Chart notes
UNBEATABLE was off slow, then lost the path soon after the start, rushed up to mid-pack down the backstretch run, advanced into contention late on the turn, split horses mid-stretch, then surged to the front and went clear under steady handling. FINAL COUNTDOWN broke out sharply at the start but avoided contact, raced mid-pack inside to the turn, tipped out from the rail to the five path for the stretch run, and finished up well under steady handling but was too late to catch the winner. SAMDINI was under coaxing from the break to keep pace behind the leaders, continued to chase up close through the turn, then kept up long, loping strides in the late stages to gain the third spot. URBAN RULER tracked the dueling leaders three-wide down the backstretch, moved up to bid five-wide at the top of the stretch, wandered about through the stretch, and faltered. RIPTON'S MUSIC veered out at the start but still made the lead with ANTHONY THE GREAT pressing the issue to the outside, put a head in front with three furlongs to run, but weakened in mid-stretch. GOOD YEGG dropped to last after a level beginning, chased from far behind through the early stages, then lacked a meaningful finish. ANTHONY THE GREAT broke sharply, dueled two-wide down the backstretch, conceded the front midway through the turn, tried to come back approaching the stretch, lugged in, took an odd step in mid-stretch, and was protected late and not persevered with to the wire. VEGASBORN was off a step slow, then forced out after the break, chased near the back to the turn, lost ground, then had little to offer in the stretch.
