Chart notes

LOST SUNSET broke best but ceded the front when confronted by MAMBA OUT early settled just behind that one through the turn, went together with GO STORMIN GIRL to bid for the lead approaching the quarter pole, put a head in front at the top of the stretch and held that rival at bay under vigorous handling. GO STORMIN GIRL tracked the pace close up three-wide to the turn, moved up to bid for the lead at the quarter pole, gamely chased LOST SUNSET for the length of the stretch but could not get by. WRITTEN CONSENT dropped well off the pace through the early stages, started a long drive from the three-furlong pole, and was never getting to the top pair but finished well to gain third. MAMBA OUT rushed up to take the early lead and went a couple of lengths clear before the turn, led the way to the quarter, then yielded the lead to a pair of challengers, kept on with good courage, but was outfinished in the late stages. LONG TALL WOMAN settled off the pace after an even start, did not respond when asked to go on midway through the turn, and did not have much to offer in the stretch run. AWESOME SUNDAY reared up as the gates opened and was left behind at the start, chased under a drive to regain contact with the field at the top of the stretch, but could not sustain the rally and was unable to improve.
