Chart notes
HAWAIIAN HIDE AWAY had no speed from the start, was the distant trailer to the turn, swung five-wide into the stretch, put in a good rally, ducked inside of a drifting REGAINED POWER in the final sixteenth and was just up in time. REGAINED POWER sprinted clear to a big lead, maintained the margin through the turn, then drifted wide on the last bend, shortened strides and drifted out badly in deep stretch, and was caught by the winner in the last jump. MINIMO outpaced early, saved ground through the turn, then produced a steady rally up the rail in the stretch to gain third. OLIVERIO tracked two-deep in the second flight behind the runaway leader, broke away with three furlongs to go to chase that rival into the stretch, could not summon the needed response, and weakened in the final furlong. CANTARITO raced four wide and was mildly gaining late. BEGGIN FOR TROUBLE pinched back at the start, settled three-wide in the middle of the pack and finished evenly. MAXCHERO broke in, then hustled up four-wide after a tardy start, was sent along midway on the far turn to bid for the lead, then had trouble changing leads and flattened out in the stretch. TWO STORMY OCEANS broke outward at the start, chased pacesetter close up, weakened 5/16, faded. GABE'S CHOICE got away well, was close up through the initial stages, then was taken up going into the turn and not involved in the late stages.
