Chart notes
BOUND TO BE TRUE travelled three deep in the middle of the group, started to get into gear lengthening stride at the five sixteenths pole, was coming with a good sustained run five wide turning for home and under a well timed vigorous hand ride had a strong kick late to just get up in time for the win. CELEBRITY RO was pinched between rivals on the break, got to the fence sitting in mid-division on the first bend, rated kindly keeping a close eye on the front three along the backside, narrowed the margin sharply three wide at the quarter pole, fought on stubbornly in the three path down the stretch, got the lead with a sixteenth still to run but was nabbed by the winner outside at the wire. SPELLCHECK broke out at the start, was forwardly placed watching the lead pair in the early stages, was roused but could not make up any ground on the leaders around the far turn, shifted out off the embattled trio four wide in mid-stretch and finished up with energy, having a good late surge to get the third place share in a picture at the finish line. JUST MAGNIFICENT had the fence being part of the back trio in the beginning, could see the field at the half, started to get into gear on the far turn, found her best stride four wide at the furlong pole outside foes and just missed, closing in quickly late for the show money. LADY IONA was content to sit back isolated tracking the line speed, moved in at the quarter pole, dueled between rivals in the two path up top in upper stretch, gave way on the front end of things with a sixteenth left to go and wilted very late losing a couple positions at the wire. SHADE OF PALE bobbled, breaking out on the start, shared the rear outside foes going the wide on the first of two turns, improved slightly splitting runners at the half, made little impact taking the short way through the second bend, shifted out to be in the three path for the drive, could not gain any position but did closed the gap considerably in the final furlong to be in the conversation for the show and minor placing at the wire. TEXAS HOLIDAY was roused, intent on the lead getting to the fence into the first turn, set a lively pace loose up front along the ba side, had a diminishing advantage while under a ride on the rail through the far turn at the quarter pole, had no answer inside rivals surrendering the top spot by the furlong marker and folded on the fence into deep stretch. CRYSTALAIRE (GB) cotrailed with horses on either side early on, made little progression on the fence along the back straight, saved ground but could no make any headway on the last turn and could not be a factor in the late running.
