Chart notes
ESSENTIALLY FAST broke out at the start, raced four paths off the inside and had RED FERN come outwards and was bumped by that rival into BIG BROOKLYN just outside five furlongs to run, tucked three wide before heading to the two path into the turn, came under coaxing near the five-sixteenths, swung four wide into upper stretch, rallied to take command a sixteenth out, then inched away to the finish kept to task. DIAMOND LIFE showed the way in hand just off the inside and then along the inside coming under coaxing near the quarter pole, spun two to three wide into upper stretch, dug in under threat and was caught a sixteenth out, ran on clear of the rest to be along second best. RED FERN coaxed from the start, tipped out three wide and bumped ESSENTIALLY FAST into BIG BROOKLYN before heading to the rail near the nine-sixteenths, came under urging three furlongs out, continued in the inside route into upper stretch and weakened in the late stages. TWISTED BANKER chased along the inside and then just off the inside down the backstretch before angling out four wide through the turn, got placed to encouragement at the three-eighths pole, went five to six wide into upper stretch and weakened in the late going. BIG BROOKLYN coaxed from the gate, raced five paths off the inside and was bumped by ESSENTIALLY FAST due to pressure from RED FERN nearing the five furlong marker, tucked four then three wide ridden along from the three-eighths marker, angled five wide into upper stretch and weakened.
