PURRFECT GIRL was unhurried co-trailing on the outside on the first turn, stalked ahead of only one runner settling into stride down the backstretch, edged closer on the far turn gathering good speed at the quarter pole, shifted six wide between foes for the drive, had a full head of steam rollong along smartly at by the furlong marker, charged past many rivals at the sixteenth pole and with aim on the pacesetter late, got up in the shadow of the wire outside for the win. ANITA MARGARITA took this field on the fence heading into the first turn, controlled the modest pace on the rail at the half, remained up front through the far turn quickening the tempo, was holding on having the fence in upper stretch, kept digging into the wire but just got caught with the winner charging outside at the finish. GATHER Settled in the middle of the pack inside runners, narrowed the margin on the outside of rivals along the backstretch straight, shifted back inside midway on the far turn, waited on the fence for the cue to go at the quarter pole, darted up the rail sharply with a furlong to go and closed in late for the show money. DREAMS AND SCHEMES had a tracking role three wide on the outside early on, kept a close eye on the leader while between runners in the three path with a half mile still to run, dropped back slightly losing positioning at the three eighths marker, made little headway going three wide around the last bend, angled out with runners on either side in the five path turning for home and finished up mildly for a minor placing in the end. POETIC AMY shared the rear inside another on the initial bend, could see the field down the backside, lagged well behind throughout the final turn, swung out widest in the seven path in upper stretch, closed well down the lane finding its best stride, passed tired foes in the final furlong but was not beaten all that much in the end. ENGLISH JUBILEE had a good spot sitting on the fence watching the lead three rivals, inched up by the half, had the rail, poised behind the frontrunner around the far turn, shifted out two wide making a bid in upper stretch, drifted out driving in the late stages fighting for a share with seventy yards from home and was checked nearing the wire. MAGICAL TRICK was tucked in nicely sitting behind the pacesetter, hounded the pace in the two path with rivals outside at the half, chased the leader in vain around the far turn, remained in the mix three wide between horses dueling down the stretch, was in tight having to be steadied sharply at the seventy yard marker and could not factor at the wire. MADAM GWEN travelled in mid-division outside horses, took closer order by the half mile marker watching the frontrunner outside foes, came under a ride three wide but could not get to the leader through the far turn, was in the hunt between foes four wide at the top of the lane, had little left for the stretch run and folded at the eighth pole.STEWARDS INQUIRY REGARDING THE STRETCH RUN IN THE VICINITY OF THE SEVENTY YARD MARKER RESULTED IN #2 ENGLISH JUBILEE BEING DISQUALIFIED AND PLACED SEVENTH FOR INTERFERENCE
