PADRINO'S GOLD was a bit slow into stride after the break and was under a drive from the outset, found a good rhythm after about a quarter mile, and moved up to take the lead passing the half-mile pole, turned back a bid from a pair of rivals at the quarter pole, then finished strong under steady handling to just hold clear from a late bid on the outside. SWEET AND FEISTY settled mid-pack four-wide in the clear through the early running, was sent along from the seven-sixteenths marker, advanced under a drive through the turn, finished well, but could not get to the winner. BOUNTY KILLAH allowed to settle from the break, bid five-wide through the far turn, produced a good rally and was gaining ground late, but ran out of time. MANDY'S MISS settled in cover behind the leaders as several contested the early lead in the initial stages, had no clear path until midway through the turn, moved up to bid two-wide for the lead at the top of the stretch, finished up well, but could not summon the extra gear when needed in the final furlong. LUMENIQUE was last down the backstretch, chased through the turn, then went four-wide into the stretch, ran on some late to improve. CHARLIZE CHUB bobbled exiting the gate, then showed good speed from the break and seized the early lead, was overtaken by PADRINO'S GOLD near the half, then came under a ride midway through the turn and was not a factor in the late stages. TAPWRIT WARRIOR tracked in mid-pack, always about two-deep, then finished evenly. BELLA CREED broke well, was always close up through the early stages, then bid for the lead three-wide approaching the quarter pole, but could not sustain the bid and faltered in mid-stretch. INCAN MOON GODDESS raced three-wide near the back early, then lacked a finish.
