MY RONDA was quickest from the gate but ceded the early lead to ANSWER THE CALL, settled in a stalking position down the backstretch, then quickened to the lead passing the three-furlong pole, got first run into the stretch and held the others at bay to the wire under steady handling. BELLA MAMA settled inside near the back to the far turn, launched a sustained bid from late on the backstretch, got an inside run through the far turn, angled out late to the four path, and surged forward to gain the place. ANSWER THE CALL pulled to the early lead, battled back when challenged by MY RONDA midway through the far turn, kept on well but was outfinished for the place. KINDRED HEARTS tracked close up three-wide for the first half, continued that path through the turn and into the stretch, finished up well, but could not produce a winning late kick when needed. WHIRLWIND was off slow then in-tight after the start, was unhurried through the clubhouse turn, then moved up along the rail on the far turn, had to steady slightly in upper stretch, then altered course to the inside and finished evenly. KOBE'S SMILE was off a step slow and not asked for early speed, moved up late on the backstretch run, bid four-wide into the stretch but was unable to rally. MAGIC TOKEN was held up at the front of the second flight, lost position heading into the far turn, ran on some late, but was never a serious threat. PURE MAGIC GIRL lost the path and got bumped after the start, was always placed near the back, and lacked a rally. THE GODDESS FACTOR pressed the early pace to the far turn, came under a ride approaching the quarter pole, then had little to offer in the late stages. LIKE A DREAM raced close up through the first turn, then was pulled up on the backstretch, vetted, and transported from the track in the equine ambulance.
