Chart notes
EMPIRE'S CLASSIC unhurried in the beginning and moved to the two path, trailed three deep into the far turn, was on the move around the bend, traveled four deep at the quarter pole, got floated out a bit by SWEET ODYSSEY angling out into the stretch, rallied widest in tandem with SWEET ODYSSEY and outclosed that rival for the score. SWEET ODYSSEY tracked four then three deep on the clubhouse turn, fell out of range racing outside a runner on the backstretch, chased three deep on the far turn, tipped out at the top of the lane, closed in and challenged between rivals with a sixteenth left to run but got outclosed by the winner. LORENZO BERNINI chased keenly into the first turn, drew alongside the leader to force the pace around the bend, lost touch with that rival at the seven-sixteenths pole, re-bid two wide into the lane, took over in upper stretch, carried a short lead into the last sixteenth but yielded to the top pair. BOTH SIDES OF BAD bumped with rivals on both sides prior and into the first turn, settled in the two path between foes, continued two wide on the far turn while creeping closer, chased within striking distance through the lane but needed to find more late. GOING VIRAL stalked two wide to the far turn, tipped three wide around that bend, bid three deep in upper stretch and flattened out. STORMIN MIDNIGHT bumped with BOTH SIDES OF BAD repeatedly then lugged out early on the clubhouse turn, traveled three deep then outside a rival on the backstretch, went two wide around the far turn, moved out in the lane and could not make an impact. GRANDISIMO stalked from inside, asked along the rail around the far turn, lacked room in upper stretch, moved to a clear path midstretch and could not rally. CRIME LORD cleared and crossed over to the inside, challenged by LORENZO BERNINI around the clubhouse turn, cleared that rival leaving the backstretch, confronted by that runner again into the lane, lost command in upper stretch and weakened. MONEY MITCH bumped repeatedly with outer rival early, traveled near the rail towards the rear, raced inside a rival at the back into the far turn, moved out in upper stretch and was never a factor.
