Chart notes
HARD STORM sent for the early lead, cleared to the rail heading to the first turn and showed the way into the backstretch, carved out decent fractions to the second turn, met the bid of URGENCY at the quarter marker then repelled that foe to upper stretch, drew clear to the furlong marker and held sway in the late stages. URGENCY forwardly placed away from the start, stalked the early pace into the backstretch, kept close attendance to HARD STORM nearing the far turn, bid outside of that rival approaching the quarter marker then was repelled into upper stretch, chased the winner into the final furlong, could not make headway late and was second best. SIR CROSS TRAFFIC was squeezed at the start and off slowly, settled along the rail into the first turn, unhurried while not far back along the backstretch, advanced along the rail into the far turn then tipped out for the stretch drive, could not reel in the top pair late but was gaining in the final sixteenth and was a clear third. CHINGU settled off of the early pace while never far back, tracked while saving ground along the backstretch, ran in pursuit to the quarter marker then could not muster the needed response in the stretch. CLASSIC EQUATION settled off of the early pace, was unhurried into the backstretch, saved ground into the far turn, angled three wide to upper stretch and did not threaten in the final furlong. DOUBLE MILES settled just off of the early leaders, tracked between rivals along the backstretch, chased two wide to the quarter marker, could not keep pace nearing the furlong grounds and weakened late. POWER WRENCH squeezed at the start and off slowly, settled to the first turn then advanced outside of rivals along the backstretch, chased three to four wide into the far turn, could not find more into upper stretch and gave way in the drive.
