Chart notes
JOHN DUTTON raced up the fence to take the lead after the first eighth, dueled on the lead through fast fractions, lost the lead at the quarter pole and dug-in determinedly to be resurgent in the final eighth to prevail in a game effort. GOING UP broke alertly to be the early leader, pressed the winner to midway on the turn, took a short lead turning for home, battled on the lead to mid-stretch and was outkicked late. SPIRITED SOL stalked the leaders to the far turn, closed the gap on the turn rallying four wide to loom boldly in upper stretch and failed to get passed the top pair. SCOOT DADDY was the trailer throughout failing to improve his position while finishing with interest.
