Chart notes
PEARL OF ACLAIM (GB) set the pace on a clear lead, dug-in turning for home when called upon and held the runner-up safe. ARTEMPUS prompted the pace while well ahead of the pack down the backside, steadily narrowed the gap on the far turn to be in striking distance at the top of the lane, was held up lugging-in in upper stretch restricting the rider's ability while being forced to steer him off the pacesetter's heels and failed to pass having been hampered by his own actions. STREAMSONG reserved racing in mid-pack down the backside well off the pacesetters, made a steady advance to close ground on the turn and continued with a sustained rally to be gaining late. MIDNIGHT AMBITION tracked the leaders from four wide through the turn and finsihed with a mild bid. ERLAN unhurried racing near the rear of the field and showed some late interest down the stretch. GREY CHARMER gained gound into the far turn coming from near the back of the pack under early urging and flattened out. LIGHTNING CHARLIE steadily faded toward the rear. IOYA AGAIN was not a factor.
