Chart notes
DAKOTA COUNTRY stalked the leading pair from the rail position, drafted behind the leader around the far turn, waited for room entering the lane, tipped out a bit and bid between runners in upper stretch, dueled inside HAWKER in deep stretch and proved best. HAWKER stalked in the two path or outside a rival to the far turn, tipped three wide midway around the bend, took over three deep in upper stretch, fought outside DAKOTA COUNTRY in the last sixteenth and yielded grudgingly. SMOOTH SALUTE saved ground at the back to the five-sixteenths pole, angled out with a quarter mile remaining, showed a mild rally and got up for third. UNCHARTED sat off the pace in the two path, continued two wide into the far turn while in range now, moved out to three path around the bend, tipped out further in the lane and got outkicked for the show honors. INVINCIBLE showed the way under pressure from outer rival to the quarter pole, put that rival away shortly after, lost command when confronted by HAWKER in upper stretch and weakened in the late stages. MCCLUSKY settled off the pace and found the rail, was ridden along in range on the far turn, remained next to the fence to the stretch and weakened. RHINO prompted the pace from outside for six furlongs, failed to keep up with the leader leaving the far turn and faded in the lane.
