PRAISE N GLORY came away from the gate in good order and took up a staking position just to the outside of MINESTRESS, was content to hold position down the backstretch, then was sent along approaching the three-furlong pole as the pace picked up, loomed three-wide at the top of the stretch, was idling in upper stretch then responded to right handed urging in the last furlong, and edged ahead in the final yards. MINESTRESS had good speed from the break with the rider taking a firm hold, slowed the pace to a crawl through the first tun, then ceded the front to MY GIRL KEW heading down the backstretch, was still being held up approaching the far turn, then let loose near the seven-sixteenths marker, was stuck behind horses late on the far turn, tipped out to the three path in the stretch for clear run, finished up well but got headed at the wire. CANDLELIGHT HOURS got caught three wide on the first turn, tracked close up four-wide to the far turn, moved up to second heading into the turn, got a head in front turning for home, but was outfinished in the final yards. HERE'S THE SPIDER away a bit awkwardly then taken back after the start, moved over to the rail, rated at the back of the pack, advanced down the backstretch to be up close as the field went into the far turn, then was stuck behind horses in the stretch but unable to quicken once clear. COUNTESS COLETTE got bumped by MY GIRL KEW at the start, settled in mid-pack through the early stages, bid five-wide into the lane but was outkicked. SHE'S CRAFTY unhurried from the start, went three-wide into the first turn, settled at the rear through the first half, started a forward move approaching the three-furlong pole but was outsprinted in the late stages. MY GIRL KEW broke in and bumped COUNTESS COLETTE, then got put in tight before passing the finish line the first time, checked hard, nearly clipping heels, pulled forward to gain the lead coming out of the clubhouse turn, went a little over a length clear, kept the lead as the pace quickened into the far turn, fought back against a host of challengers in the stretch, then gave way grudingly in the final furlong. GREEN LADY veered out at the start, then went three wide through the first turn, settled near the back, then dropped off the pace approaching the three-furlong pole and was uninvolved in the late stages. THERE WAS A STEWARDS INQUIRY INTO THE START. AFTER A REVIEW NO ACTION WAS TAKEN.
