Chart notes

WHISKEY DIAMOND broke well, took command passing the quarter pole, opened up through the turn, and held off a late bid under steady handling and urging. THE DEVIL'S DREAM tracked between horses in the second flight, launched a bid leaving the three-furlong pole, finished willingly under steady urging, closed the gap in the final yards, but came up short at the wire. SHEZ SHACKED UP tracked four-wide, finished with some interest to gain the third prize. FANCIFUL was put under a stiff ride from the start, was the inside horse of four tracking the early leaders, was unable to kick on with the others late on the turn, but finished willingly and just missed the minor award. BOOGIE BOOGEE trailed early, then ran on some in the late stages but was never a serious threat. SALTMAKESHERSWEET rushed up to seize the early lead, was taken on by WHISKEY DIAMOND on the outside near the half-mile pole, gave way readily and lost interest.
