Chart notes
SAND CAST raced three-wide, settled mid-pack early, made a strong middle move through the turn and carried the momentum into the stretch, collared the early leader in the closing yards, then just held safe at the wire from a fast closing rival on the outside. GIFT GIVING settled in mid-pack along the rail, found best stride in deep stretch, closed the gap late and just missed. ANTHONY THE GREAT hustled to the front, held sway to deep stretch, then failed to last. GOOD YEGG was outrun from the break, settled near the rear of the field, took an inside path through the turn into the stretch, and ran on some in the late stages to improve. STORMY ATTACK chased close to the early pace from the start, loomed to the furlong grounds, then weakened in the final yards. CATNIP HILL was outpaced through the early stages, then lacked a rally. PAKULA hustled up four-wide to press ANTHONY THE GREAT early, was never able to draw even with that one, then faltered in the stretch. DYNO WAR lacked any early speed, raced three-to-four wide throughout, and never threatened. LOOKN MACHO was up close to the pace early, then bore out very wide midway through the turn and was unable to make up the lost ground. ADAM FIVE OH was slow to begin and trailed throughout.
