Chart notes
SIGNATURE SIR was urged from the start and forwardly-placed tracking inside in behind, moved out three wide coming to the quarter pole struck the lead at the top of the stretch, quickly drew clear, held under steady handling. PROCTOR PHANTOM settled into stride just off the inside, fanned eight to nine wide turning for home, was gaining steadily late. FLIRTING WITH FIRE settled inside at the rear, advanced while saving ground on the turn, was off the rail coming to the top of the stretch, rallied between foes in mid-stretch, was no match for the top pair but secured show honors. MALDINI was outside at the rear, came out seven to eight wide for the stretch run, kicked on mildly late. HERE I GO stalked from outside the eventual winner, was four wide at the quarter pole, weakened in the stretch. MO' SPRESSO stalked from outside mid-pack, was five wide coming to the quarter pole, failed to rally. FRENCH HORN was off the pace inside a foe near but just off the fence, failed to menace. FAITH set the pace inside on or just off the rail, was overtaken at the top of the stretch, gave way.
