Chart notes
WILLIE T was off a step slow but quickly moved up to sit behind the leaders, made a three wide bid entering the stretch to slowly run down the leader and get by in the final few strides. SON OF A G Q tracked the early pace four wide, took command at the five sixteenths and opened up by a couple lengths going into the stretch but was unable to hold off WILLIE T in the final sixteenth. STRIKING LAD settled back to trail shortly after the start, angled out four wide entering the stretch to overtake tiring rivals but could make no more progress for the rest of the stretch. LUCKY KATER broke on top before opting to give REX SPIRED the lead and pressing from the two path, moved up to vie for command through the turn but was quickly overtaken and trailed entering the stretch, passed retreating foe. REX SPIRED claimed the lead along the inside shortly after the start, gave way at the five sixteenths and retreated at the quarter.
